Before you can convert your RC into air miles, you have to add your mileage account on HSBC Reward+ by tapping on "Redeem Miles" on the "Use RC" page and accept the related Terms and Conditions.

Even if you have already enrolled in the HSBC Mileage Programme via other channels, you would still need to add your mileage account on HSBC Reward+ by reconfirming your mileage account information recorded in HSBC.

To redeem successfully, you also need to have:

• a valid HSBC primary credit card as specified in the HSBC Reward+ Terms and Conditions;
• a valid e-mail address and mobile number maintained on our Bank records;
• a valid Asia Miles, British Airways Executive Club or Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer account. Note that in order to convert your RC into Avios or KrisFlyer miles you need to have a valid primary HSBC Premier MasterCard;
• same name records in both HSBC and mileage account for authentication by mileage partner.

We will send you SMS and email notifications when you have successfully added your mileage account on HSBC Reward+ and submitted redemption requests via HSBC Reward+.

For British Airways Executive Club Avios and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles, in case your redemption is unsuccessful, you will receive a notification letter, and the used RewardCash will be returned to your credit card account as stated in the letter. You can find the returned RC balance in 'Others' category under 'Earned' of RC Summary on HSBC Reward+.

Hence, please ensure your mobile phone number and email address registered with HSBC are up to date. You can edit your personal information via HSBC Personal Internet Banking.

You need to have a valid primary HSBC Premier MasterCard in order to redeem your RC for British Airways Executive Club Avios and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles.

For British Airways Executive Club Avios and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles, after submitting the redemption request on HSBC Reward+, the Avios / miles will be credited within 2 weeks upon successful conversion. Please check the transaction history in your mileage account later.

You will need to convert at least $40 RC in each redemption.

The details of all your mileage redemptions performed through HSBC Reward+ can be viewed under 'Mileage' in the 'Used' tab of the 'RewardCash Summary' on 'Account' page on HSBC Reward+.

Also, in the RC summary section of the statement of your credit card used for redemption, the accumulated RC converted into miles within the statement cycle will be shown under the heading 'RewardCash Redeemed'. There will be a separate section showing the total miles credited / requested to be credited to your mileage account during that statement cycle.

If you have multiple credit cards, after you have entered the RC amount intended to be converted into miles, HSBC Reward+ will automatically extract your RC that expires first for the conversion (you can edit the allocation too). Then, the RC will be pooled to your highest tier of selected primary card for mileage redemption. Total converted miles will be displayed on the statement of that card.

Your name in HSBC will be used by our mileage partners for authentication and successful redemption. Please contact the customer service of the corresponding mileage partner to edit your personal information in your mileage account if needed.

In very exceptional cases, your RC may have been deducted by HSBC pursuant to your Asia Miles redemption instruction but the conversion cannot be completed due to prolonged server response time. In this case, an error message will be shown right after you have reviewed your conversion details and clicked 'Confirm', and this transaction will be marked as 'Pending' in the conversion history on the RC summary page, indicating that the transaction is under investigation. The conversion status will be updated in 5 working days after the date the conversion instruction is received.

If the Asia Miles conversion instruction is confirmed, it will be marked as 'Complete' in your mileage redemption history on RC Summary and you will receive SMS and email notifications. If the conversion instruction cannot be processed, it will be marked as 'Cancelled' and HSBC will return the RC to your credit card account used for redemption.

Please note that once you have removed your mileage account record, you will have to add a mileage account on HSBC Reward+ again in order to redeem miles.

Once the mileage redemption is confirmed, we are not able to amend or reverse the instruction for you.
