How do I enjoy the RewardCash Time Deposit – New Fund Mobile Banking Offer?
Thanks for banking with us and your interest in our time deposit offer.

This RewardCash Time Deposit is only available through the HSBC HK App. RewardCash will be credited to your valid Standalone RewardCash Programme Profile once you've successfully placed your time deposit, so you need both the HSBC HK App and the HSBC Reward+ App.

Can I still place a RewardCash Time Deposit if I don't have a Standalone RewardCash Programme Profile yet?
Yes, if you don't have a Standalone RewardCash Programme Profile yet, you can still place a RewardCash Time Deposit. To receive the upfront RewardCash, you may simply activate your Standalone RewardCash Programme Profile through the HSBC Reward+ App within 6 months after the successful time deposit placement.
Can I set up my RewardCash Time Deposit to renew automatically when it matures?
No, automatic renewal is not available for this RewardCash Time Deposit.

For the RewardCash Time Deposit – New Fund Mobile Banking Offer, RewardCash will be credited to your valid Standalone RewardCash Programme Profile once you've successfully placed your time deposit and interest at the prevailing standard interest rate will be deposited into your credit account upon maturity.
Can I place a time deposit any time via the HSBC HK App or HSBC Online Banking?
Time deposit online placements via the HSBC HK App or HSBC Online Banking are processed between 8am to 8:30pm on business days. If you make a transaction outside these hours, it will be processed on the next business day. The reference to 'business day' means a day, other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, on which banks are open for general business in Hong Kong (or in the jurisdiction of the foreign currency in which the time deposit is denominate).
Can I place a time deposit on public holidays via the HSBC HK App or HSBC Online Banking?
Yes you can. However, we will not be able to confirm the interest rate until the time deposit order is processed and set up on the next business day.
How far in advance can I specify the start date of my time deposit?
For forward dated placements, you can place them any time from one day up to 45 days in advance. Please be reminded that we will not be able to confirm the interest rate until the time deposit has eventually been set up.
Where can I find my eligible new fund amount through the HSBC HK App or HSBC Online Banking?
Through the HSBC HK App:
  1. Log on to the HSBC HK App
  2. Select the menu icon and choose 'Product', or select the account you'd like to place a time deposit with on the homepage
  3. Choose 'Time Deposits'
  4. Select 'Continue' on the 'Time deposit offers' page
  5. Your eligible new fund amount will be displayed at the top of the placement page. If you have no eligible new funds, select 'Unlock now' for more details about eligible new fund amount and how to unlock preferential interest rates for new funds.

Through HSBC Online Banking:
  1. Log on to HSBC Online Banking
  2. Select 'Banking' from the top menu
  3. Select 'Place Time Deposits' from the menu; or select the account you'd like to place a time deposit with on the homepage and choose 'Place a new time deposit' from the 'More services' menu
  4. Your eligible new fund amount will be displayed on the placement page. You may select 'Learn more' for more details about eligible new fund amount and how to unlock preferential interest rates for new funds.
I have just deposited a cheque, is this included in my Eligible New Fund Amount?
As we calculate your eligible new fund amount based on ledger balance, the cheque deposit will be counted.
How can I download Reward+?
HSBC Reward+ App is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Baidu App Store.

Where you can download the HSBC Reward+ App and its system requirements:
  1. After downloading the HSBC Reward+ App, how can I log on?
    You can log on using either of the these methods:
    • Method 1: Log on with the HSBC HK App
      Open the HSBC Reward+ App. You’ll be redirected to the HSBC HK App to complete the log on.
    • Method 2: Log on with your HSBC Personal Internet Banking username and password
      If you don’t have the HSBC HK App, open the HSBC Reward+ app, and use your HSBC Personal Internet Banking username and password to log on.

  2. Is the HSBC Reward+ app available in my region?
    The HSBC Reward+ App is only available to download from the official app stores in Hong Kong, mainland China and the UK:
    • The App Store (for Apple devices)
    • Google Play
    • Baidu website or Baidu Mobile Assistant (for mainland China only)

  3. What are the supported devices for the HSBC Reward+ App?
    The HSBC Reward+ App is supported on:
    • iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices – on iOS or iPad version 16.0 or above (excluding Beta versions)

如我未有独立奖赏钱计划账号，仍然可以开立「奖赏钱」定期存款吗？
可以，即使您尚未持有独立奖赏钱计划账号，您仍然可以开立「奖赏钱」定期存款。只需要在成功开立定期存款后的6个月内通过汇丰Reward+激活您的独立奖赏钱计划账号，即可获享预发「奖赏钱」。
「奖赏钱」定期存款到期后可以自动续存吗？
不可以，「奖赏钱」定期存款不设自动续存。
就「奖赏钱」定期存款 – 新资金流动理财优惠而言，当您成功开立定期存款后，「奖赏钱」将会存入您合资格的独立奖赏钱计划账号，按基本年利率计算的利息将会在定期存款到期时存入您的户口。
我可以随时于HSBC HK App或汇丰网上理财开立定期存款吗？
如您透过HSBC HK App或汇丰网上理财开立定期存款，我们将在星期一至五上午8时至晚上7时处理您的开立指示。而在上述营业时间以外发出的交易指示，该交易将会在下一个营业日办理。营业日指本行在香港开放营业的日子（星期六、日及公众假期除外）或外币定期存款的货币司法管辖区的营业日。
我可以在公众假期经HSBC HK App或汇丰网上理财开立定期存款吗？
可以，但我们将无法确认存款利率，直到于下一个营业日为您成功开立定期存款。
我可以在多久之前预先通知银行，我哪一日开始设立定期存款？
您可以于1至45天前开立远期之定期存款。请注意我们将不能确认存款利率，直到定期存款成功开立为止。
如何在HSBC HK App或汇丰网上理财上查看我的「合资格新资金」？
透过HSBC HK App：
  1. 登入HSBC HK App
  2. 于「首页」打开选单并选择「产品」，或点选您想用于开立定期存款的户口
  3. 选择「定期存款」
  4. 在「定期存款优惠」页面点选「继续」
  5. 开立定期存款页面的顶部会显示您的合资格新资金。如您未有合资格新资金，点选「锁定优惠」以了解更多有关合资格新资金的详情，以及如何锁定新资金优惠年利率。

透过汇丰网上理财：
  1. 登入汇丰网上理财
  2. 于顶部选单选择「理财」
  3. 打开选单后点选「开立定期存款」。此外，您亦可于「首页」选择您想用于开立定期存款的户口，然后从「更多功能」选单点选「开立定期存款」
  4. 开立定期存款页面会显示您的合资格新资金。如您未有合资格新资金，点选「了解更多」以查看更多有关合资格新资金的详情，以及如何锁定新资金优惠年利率。
我刚存入支票，那笔资金会被纳入「合资格新资金」吗？
当我们根据您的账面结余计算出合资格新资金，支票款项亦会被计算当中。

This amount is calculated in HKD. If you have placed time deposit(s) with new funds in the past 7 calendar days, that time deposit amount will not be included as part of your latest total balance for calculating the Eligible New Fund Amount. In case of disputes, we have the sole discretion to determine the definition of new funds.
