For each Spending Instalment Plan application, an account balance or individual transaction amount of at least HK$1,000 is required.

No. You can only set up one "Transaction Instalment" for each of the eligible transaction once.

If you have already set up a "Transaction Instalment" to pay a transaction partially, and you want to convert the rest of the transaction amount into payment by instalments, you can go to "Balance Instalment" and set up another instalment plan provided that the remaining transaction amount or your remaining account balance is HK$1,000 or above.

By using Reward+, you can submit a Spending Instalment Plan application anytime you want. Your applications will be processed in real-time by our system during the following periods:

Monday to Friday 09:00 to 20:00
Saturdays 09:00 to 17:00
Sundays and public holidays 09:00 to 24:00

Applications made outside the above periods will be stored in our system and processed automatically when the system resumes service. In that case, your application will be shown as "Pending" on the "Spending Instalment Plan Record" page. You can check the application result again at 9am on the following day.

If the remaining transaction amount or your remaining account balance is less than HK$1,000 after the payment, your application will be declined.

You can choose to make early repayment. However, the total amount of outstanding unposted handling fees for the remaining Instalment Period plus any interest (if applicable) and an administration fee of HK$300 will be charged. Therefore, you are advised to consider carefully before deciding on early repayment.

No. Supporting documentation is not required for your Spending Instalment Plan application.

No interest will be charged on your Spending Instalment Plan if you make full repayment of the credit card's statement balance on or before the payment due date of each month. Otherwise, interest which is calculated based on the prevailing interest rate applicable to the credit card account will be levied on all outstanding balances. Even if no interest is being charged, a personalised handling fee for part of the Spending Instalment Plan will apply. You can check the details of your personalised handling fee on the application page under "Balance Instalment" and "Transaction Instalment"; or the handling fee on "Spending Instalment Plan record" page for approved applications.

Spending Instalment Plan is only applicable to posted transactions billed on the current statement and posted unbilled transactions effected with a Card that qualify for the Spending Instalment Plan.

You must submit the application via Reward+ at least 1 working day before the payment due date of the relevant transaction.

Ineligible transactions include but are not limited to:
(i) any unposted, cancelled or refunded transaction;
(ii) cash advances;
(iii) instalment plans;
(iv) Octopus AAVS (Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service);
(v) withdrawal amount under a cash instalment plan and/or a cash credit plan;
(vi) gambling transactions;
(vii) purchases of and/or reloads for stored value cards or e-Wallets;
(viii) transactions at non-financial institutions (including purchases of foreign currency, money orders and travellers cheques);
(ix) transactions at financial institutions (including purchases of merchandise and services from banks);
(x) wire transfers and;
(xi) all fees and charges.
